Are you keen to get active and try a new sport? The ҹɫè has you covered as Game On returns for term three with an engaging multi sports program.
Aimed at ages 10-17, Game On is open to all skill levels and gives youth a chance to come and try something new for those who may not typically gravitate towards traditional sports.
ҹɫè Mayor Jerry Clune said the program was the perfect way to get a taste of a range of different sports without any pressure.
“Game On gives youth an opportunity to come and try something different over a few weeks and maybe find a passion or just have an awesome time and socialise,” he said.
“Some youngsters get to an age and haven’t joined a local club or a team and the thought of starting a sport may be daunting.
“This program aims to provide a safe and welcoming environment, allowing the opportunity to learn skills, get active and have fun.
“It’s also great that the sessions will be delivered at our newly opened Youth Centre and played on the customised multi-use sports court,” Mayor Clune finished.
Game On has been running for two years and offers a range of niche and traditional sports each term.
Term 3 will offer a multi sports program which includes soccer, volleyball, handball, basketball, netball, dodgeball, scarecrow and ping pong.
There are also dedicated basketball and cricket sessions.

Game On has been made possible by funding from the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism and Sport.
The program falls under the “Connected” theme of the City’s Strategic Community Plan which reflects the organisation’s commitment to an engaged and diverse community.
